Forgiveness

Welcome to my blog. I am currently participating in the A to Z challenge.
Blogging my way through the alphabet one letter at a time.
For my theme I have chosen to give you a peek inside the journal of Karen,
the main character of my soon to be released novel, Bruised Reed
Click on the Novel tab to learn more. Enjoy!

From Karen’s journal…

Forgive him? Let him off the hook? What about me? I’m the one that was hurt. I’m the one that was betrayed. It hurts too much. How can Megan suggest it?

Note to self: Don’t let him win you over with his usual sweet apologies!!!!!!

Check out Karen’s Pinterest board.

Note from Angela D. Meyer (author of Bruised Reed):
What does forgiveness mean to you? Is it easy for you to forgive those around you?

  1. That's a powerful topic! I wish I had time to read the book and see how Karen handles it. Regardless of the path she chooses I'm sure it will be a lesson in life from your comments. Best wishes, Mary at Mary A to Z

  2. Hi Angela… I enjoyed this post.

I could be wrong, my Bible's a bit rusty… I believe Jesus was known to hang out with thieves and prostitutes, which he didn't hide, and he did it with no hint of judgment. To me, that's forgiveness. That's embracing someone no matter what their life-choices.

P.S. Your about page made me cry 🙂

  3. You are right that Jesus is the greatest example of forgiveness that you can find.

He loved even the "messy" people that others avoided.

And he gave his life on the cross for our forgiveness. It is a wonder that all we have to do is accept the gift.

    Thanks for stopping by!
