Kansas City

Welcome to my blog. I am currently participating in the A to Z challenge.
Blogging my way through the alphabet one letter at a time.
For my theme I have chosen to give you a peek inside the journal of Karen,
the main character of my soon to be released novel, Bruised Reed
Click on the Novel tab to learn more. Enjoy!

From Karen’s journal…

It’s strange to be back in the Kansas City area. Great city to have nearby growing up. Regardless of how boring my hometown was.

Loved all the Royals baseball games David took me to. Great BBQ. And the lights at Christmas on the Plaza – beautiful.
Just hate the family memories. But for now, I need a place to be away from Barry and I need to know the truth before Mom dies.

Note to self: Don’t think about family until you absolutely have to.
Time for a swim.

Where did you grow up?

  1. Hi Angela. I hope your character, Karen, finds the truth. A most intriguing read, thanks for sharing.
I grew up far, far away — in Eastern Europe (Romania). Like in your character's life, some memories are a bit hard to relieve when I go back to visit.
    Good to visit your blog.

  2. Silvia, Thanks for stopping by. You are indeed far away from home! Sometimes distance is good for finding healing for the past. Sometimes you have to confront it head on. But you have to be ready. I wish you the best and hope you have a good home here where you are now 🙂

Blessings! Have fun on the A to Z hop 🙂
