God is Good

Thanks for joining me on this A to Z challenge during April. And now I’m on to another challenge – moving closer and closer to the release of my book. I hope you continue to stop by for news and updates. I have some fun ideas and I’m looking forward to sharing them with you.
It’s been crazy at my house lately. Life does not come to a standstill because you have a book to market.
My son is about to graduate then is planning to sign up with the Marines (so proud!). And I’m busy with transcript and records.
My daughter is already completed her science for the year, but we’re working to finish her math and other subjects before the press of book release grows.
We’re battling broken cars and broken washers.
And I am struggling with writing in the middle of the chaos – my desk is in the middle of the living room.
But God is good no matter the circumstances and frustrations I face.
I am so thankful God doesn’t require me to be in a literal prayer closet to meet with him. If I am willing, anywhere can be the place I turn to Him for strength, comfort, peace. And lately, I’ve needed plenty!
If I couldhave a prayer closet, I think it would be either a hammock or swing (with cushions). In the shade, with a nice breeze. LOL! I don’t ask for much.
Where do you like to meet with God?

About Angela D. Meyer

She is the author of This Side of Yesterday, The Jukebox Cafe (a part of Hope is Born: A Mosaic Christmas Anthology) and the Applewood Hill series. Angela is a member of American Christian Fiction Authors and has served on the leadership team of her local writers’ group, Wordsowers. Angela currently lives in NE with her husband. 1. Congratulations, Angela. I'm watching and learning 🙂 This probably sounds strange, but I like to meet with God in the dishpan. Nobody bothers me there. If I get a chance to do housework when I'm all alone in the house, I just seem to find God in the sacred silence.

  2. I heard the story of a Jew in the concentration camps who had to clean the sewage/latrine area. When asked how he could stand it he replied that the soldiers left him alone there and he could praise God to his hearts content! Anywhere. Anytime. Thanks for sharing Kathy.

  3. I'm a bit embarrassed to say, but sitting here at my computer, I stop and chat…often in the shower, sometimes driving to work. I try at night in bed, though sometimes I fall asleep I think, perhaps that means I'm too wordy?

Good luck with the book, and enjoy the graduation. Is it HS or college?

Previously A-Z, and now moving onto May

  4. No cause for embarrassment – I think we should be praying wherever we are along the way. I don't think God wants to be relegated to one certain place at one certain time 🙂

BTW – I fall asleep when I talk to Him in bed, too!

Oh yeah – my son is graduating from HS. Thanks for stopping by!

  5. I meet with him in the middle of chaos too. Aging parents, hospital waiting rooms, a leak in the bathroom, termite issues, student loans to pay, whatever. I too have to repeat to myself, God is good. ALL the time. No matter the issue. Thank God life is temporary!
