The Dandelion Perspective

To one…an herb to nourish our bodies with important nutrients.

To another…a weed to be rid of at all cost.

To another…a toy.

A story can be told in multiple perspectives. Vantage point changes the entire scope. A villain  might become the hero. A conflict becomes a blessing. A tragedy becomes deliverance.

Life holds billions of perspectives.

As a mother, I have often come into the room in the middle of my children’s arguments only to be assailed with… “he said…” yeah but… “she said.” It takes time to sort through the vantage points to determine the real story.

On more than one occasion I have rushed to judgment only to find out later there was more to the story. How I wish I had been more patient.

When trouble comes my way, it is easy to look at it through a narrow vision. Get locked into only one choice. Looking at the situation through a broader lens –borrowing another perspective –can lend light to the situation and clarify options. Especially when the perspective I seek is God’s.

Do you have a problem troubling you?
Try looking at it from different vantage point.
