Write in the Middle of Things

Here’s the ten cent tour of where I write.

For now, it’s smack dab in the middle of the traffic of my household. Of course, this does make it easier to keep up with the comings and goings in my family as they hustle around me. I am thankful I don’t have to climb a multitude of stairs to attend to the cooking and teaching between the words I write.

Do you work from home?
Do you have dedicated space or work right in the middle of things, too?

About Angela D. Meyer

  1. I have a computer desk in an office room, but I greatly prefer to spread everything out on the kitchen table! My preference might change if I had other people living in the house with me.

  2. I have a desk in the dining room. Our house is pretty quiet these days, though, with all the children grown and gone. I also do some writing at work, and I have a desk tucked into a back corner. I can hear everything that goes on in the office, but I can mostly ignore it 🙂

  3. I have a loft in my house where I write. I've had several bloggers tell me they write in the middle of their family…at the kitchen table, on the sofa, at the family desk. I'm suddenly more grateful for my quiet spot. I don't appreciate it like I should!
