Something Old, Something New

In honor of Valentine’s Day, I’m going to share a few things not so new…memories. Specifically of the wedding variety.
The not so real pearls were the old.
The dress, the shoes, the hat with veil were the new
The delicate old handkerchief -which I think I still
       have (oops) was the borrowed
The something blue if I remember right was…
wow,  I think I need a new memory.
Memories are fun. Here are some pics of mine….

We can’t thrive on memories alone. If we are not constantly allowing God to make us new as individuals and as a couple, we may well fall into the trap of complacency. We may find distance between us when we want intimacy.

God is in the business of “making all things new…” even in a crumbly, messed up, lost marriage. Our part is exercising a lot of faith, patience and perseverance while God does the heavy lifting:  “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 (NIV)
Has God been working on making things
new in your marriage?
(In the event you are in the middle of a VERY messy marriage, please, seek wise counsel for a plan of action. Even if full restoration of the relationship does not happen, God wants to fully restore your heart. God bless you. If you would like prayers, please contact me via the contact form to the right. I would be honored to lift you up to the King of Kings.)
