Let’s Catch Up

summer fun, art, Angela D. Meyer

Hello friends! Its about time to catch you up on life at this author’s house!

art, summer fun, Angela D. MeyerNo, I haven’t taken up painting. That would be my daughter. She has discovered a love for art, so we enrolled her in art classes at the local art museum. She even had one of her word arts hung in the student/education gallery of the museum! Her favorite medium to use is watercolor. She is doing great. She also is doing well with drawing.

breakfast, school time, Angela D. MeyerWe started school a couple weeks ago. For those of you who don’t know, we home school- and my daughter is loving her senior year. We’re enjoying saying no to all the busyness and focusing on school (for her) and writing(for me), taking time for walks and cooking yummy healthy foods for our breakfasts and lunches!

I’m busy writing! I am working not so fast but diligently to finish Where Joy Starts to hand off to my Beta readers to get it ready to send to my publisher. I’m looking forward to being able to share the 3rd book in the Applewood Hill series with you. Once that is off to my publisher, CrossRiver Media, I have another book on the calendar to write. It’s in the planning stages and hope to participate in NaNoWriMo this year in November and get it written in a month! Woohoo!!

And what am I reading? Glad you asked!

I’m reading Place Called Home by Brenda Anderson. Here’s what it’s about…

All Tessa Chanson ever wanted was a stable place to call home. She thought she’d found that when she moved in with Jared–until his home became her prison. When his control escalates, the only answer is to escape–an escape that’s hampered when she falls and fractures her ankle.

While building his graphic design company, Nate Brooks is focused on the future he’s dreamed of: traveling around the country from the comfort of his renovated school bus. But when he picks up a wounded, mysterious hitchhiker, those well-laid plans take a backseat to protecting her.

Hobbled by her injury, Tessa fears she’ll never find freedom. Or has she found it with the family who graciously opens their home to her? And will Nate’s protection put his family–and his heart–at risk?

Release date is September 11
