Even When

There’s a lot going on these days that has captured our attention. We see it most clearly all over social media: fear of losing (fill in the blank) or (such and such) happening. It can take all of our emotional energy, suck our time, divide friends and even make us feel sick.

HOWEVER…EVEN IF/WHEN….

Things don’t go the way I hope in this life…
The election doesn’t go the way I want…
There is chaos and division all around me…
I’m required to wear a mask to go to church…
Everyone on social media appears to be against me…
I don’t know who/what to believe about (fill in the blank)…
Some of my freedoms are taken away…
It appears I am losing (fill in the blank)…
What I fear comes to pass…

IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL!

Refocus and rejoice in this…God is faithful! He will never leave us or forsake us! He walks through (fill in the blank) with us. His peace guards our hearts…even when.

“…with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4: 6b-7

What are you thankful for today?
