L is for Laughing

One of my most asked questions growing up (I think I have my grandma to thank!) ? What if…? What if I mess up? What if the ball rolls into the street and a car comes along and I can’t get out of the way? You get the idea. Makes for a pretty serious perspective.
It’s also a killer on parenting.  “Mom, look what I did.” Then me… “What if you showed that to the world before it was ready and then they got the wrong idea or what if it works then I have all this extra work to do?”
I can hear you now. “Lighten up already.” My thoughts precisely. I’ve actually been working on it and I am a lot better with what comes out my mouth. But in my head, it’s often my fallback outlook on life. Definitely stuck in a box.
So in my quest to get out of the box and LIVE I think I need to make an effort to laugh more. Laugh at myself when I mess up. Laugh at spilled mild situations. And laugh out loud to share the joy!

In honor of laughter, here’s a link to something funny. Sit back and enjoy.

  1. Cool post. Laughter is so necessary! Just so you know, the link to your blog on the a to z challenge page is a bit broken.

    Good luck with the challenge!
